About Pro-Story

Pro-Story was born out of a love of Photography shared by two friends – Laura Ridolfo and Gareth Harrison. We met aged 17, when we were just starting out on our photography journey.

Since then, we have photographed across Devon and Cornwall. We work extremely well together, whether we’re taking those elegant couple shots that are just begging to be framed, or capturing the unplanned moments that will bring your Memories to life.

I studied photography for six years, including four years at one of the best photography colleges in the UK – Plymouth College of Art and two years at Salisbury College. I originally learned on an old film camera, before moving onto a Canon DSLR. I now use a Sony Mirrorless camera.

I have photographed hundreds of people over the years (including Christian Slater and Neve Campbell) and seen my images printed in publications such as the Daily Express. But nothing compares to photographing a family photoshoot. It is such a joyful occasion – a real celebration of love, family and friendship. I really enjoy capturing those all-too-easily-missed moments, from Natural photos, these moments are just as important as the posed shots. And they are often the ones that families treasure the most.

I also love our location shoots. I live in Plymouth and feel incredibly lucky to have so many beautiful backdrops to choose from around Devon and Cornwall, from the sea, Dartmoor, Woodlands to the park. I don’t think there is anywhere more picturesque to have your photo taken from the surrounding areas of Devon.

Each photoshoot is unique. I cannot wait to meet you and and your family.

favorite things

I have always enjoyed photography. I was given my first camera aged seven and remember being very proud of those first blurry shots. I still have that same camera today but have hopefully learnt a few things over the last 30+ years!

At 17, I started to seriously train in photography. I spent seven happy years at Plymouth College of Art studying from an entry level through to graduating with an Honours degree in Photo Media & Design Communication.

Today, I cannot imagine my life without photography. I love to tell a story through my photos – freezing that moment in time forever. And is there a moment that’s more important to preserve then photographing a family.

Outside of paid work you’ll often find me beside a train track, combining my love of steam trains with my passion for photography.
